Saturday Night: Western Bulldogs vs. Port Adelaide Power

Bulldogs OverPower

Port Adelaide have returned to their form of last year, with a hint of North Melbourne at the start of this year; leading at half-time but lose the game. That was indeed the case last night. The Power led 5.5.35 to the Bulldogs 4.0.24. After half-time however, the Power managed only 3 behinds for the entire third quarter while the Bulldogs had no trouble finding the goals, booting 5 goals 4 behinds. Despite leading by 14 points at the start of the fourth, the Bulldogs had to survive a Power comeback late in the final quarter to pull off the 9 point win.

Both teams have two weeks to prepare for their first game after their bye. The Bulldogs will be trying to figure out how to avoid a 60+ point thrashing at the hands of Collingwood if unable to string together their third consecutive win. The Power, on the other hand will be trying to figure out what went wrong to avoid handing the Giants their first win of the season,

Tips: 4 from 5
