Friday
Night: Carlton Blues vs. Hawthorn Hawks
Second consecutive
Friday night game for Carlton and they nearly won last week, but Hawthorn will
see this as a chance to take back top of the ladder from Geelong, and also will
go in as favourites.
My tip: Hawks
by 30 points.
Saturday
Afternoon: Richmond Tigers vs. Adelaide Crows
Richmond
come off a bye after a good win against the Eagles and will be ready for
Adelaide who will no doubt throw up a challenge to them. Adelaide do come off a
very bad loss to Sydney but, obviously, Richmond aren’t Sydney so I think it
will be very entertaining to watch and close.
My tip: Tigers
by 15 points
Saturday
Afternoon: Fremantle Dockers vs. Brisbane Lions
Both teams
come off a bye. Normally I would say that no Pavlich, no Walters, no Sandilands would have an
impact but it’s had very little effect on them, with losses to only top four
sides and a draw with Sydney, add the home ground advantage. I don’t give the
Lions much of a chance.
My tip:
Dorkers by 40
Saturday
Night: Essendon Bombers vs. Gold Coast Suns
You’d have
to say that the Suns have a better chance than usual. They’ve led Hawthorn.
They’ve led Geelong. They’ve beaten North Melbourne. They could lead the Bombers
again, but the Bombers are a much stronger team than the Suns, and that will
make the difference, but could make it a close game.
My tip:
Bombers by 26 points
Sunday
Afternoon: GWS Giants vs. Port Adelaide Power
A winnable game
for the Giants. They were competitive with Cats for three quarters so if they
can pull that off and then lockdown defensively, they will stand a chance of
taking their first win for the season. The Power have really been struggling to
win since the West Coast game and will be wanting to take advantage of the
inexperienced Giants.
My Tip:
Giants by 10 points.
Sunday
Afternoon: Collingwood Magpies vs. Western Bulldogs
I think it
will be a training drill Collingwood. The Bulldogs are no match for the
Magpies.
My tip:
Magpies by 74 points
