Saturday Afternoon: Port Adelaide Power vs. Sydney Swans

Swans Power Shock

Well this is clearly going to be the upset of the round, I think Port might even have shocked themselves when they won by a comfortable (for them anyway) 18 points. The Swans led for most of the game, but the Power used a 10 goal final half to stage their comeback win. Now I didn’t see the game because I was working (also why the Friday night write up is late) but there’s no way Port’s defence is good enough to keep Sydney to 54 points and there’s no way Sydney’s defence is so poor they allowed Port to reach 72 points without external help so, I’m guessing it was a wet day.

It’s difficult to pick a best on ground but I’m going to say Wingard was best on ground with 3 goals, 20 disposals, 17 kicks, 3 handballs, 4 marks and 4 tackles.

Port Adelaide have a chance to stage another upset against Collingwood at a slightly different time but same place and same day next week, while the Swans walk the road of shame as they head into a Friday Night clash with Carlton at the SCG next week.

My tips: 0 from 2
