Slippery
Swans in Sydney
It was a very wet Friday
night in Sydney when the Swans battled it out with Carlton, the Swans were
obviously better at wet-weather footy than Carlton who seemed to hate it. The Swans
used the rain to their advantage making a point of ending the game at half-time
when they led 5.9.39 to 1.5.11 (that goal coming off a gift from the umpires,
and I’m saying that even as an anti-Swans person). Carlton won the second half
though, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a 22 point defeat.
Best on ground was Bird
for the Swans with 33 disposals, 25 kicks, 8 handballs, 2 marks and 5 tackles.
The Swans have an easy
in Melbourne next week at the MCG while the Blues will fight to close a
two-game gap between them and the 8 when they take on Collingwood at, surprise
surprise, the MCG (even when Collingwood “away” they’re at the MCG).
My tips: 1 from 2
