Dark Days for Demons
5.9.39 to
17.20.122. for Melbourne an 83 point beating is an improvement. The Demons were
even competitive against the Magpies (1.5.11 to 1.6.12) for the first quarter
before Collingwood really had won the game at halftime with a 40 point lead.
Melbourne were never going to come back from that. If they really wanted to,
Collingwood could not have scored at all in the third and fourth quarters and
still won the game.
Still 83 points is an improvement but I doubt it’s enough
to save Mark Neeld as coach.
I’m not going to
bother with best on ground for Collingwood because all their players were
pretty consistent.
Collingwood
travel, what is essentially down the road for them, to Etihad Stadium to play
the Bulldogs which is beyond a certainty for them to win. Melbourne have a bye
in which the team will prepare for Saint Kilda while the board will probably
decide on who the new Coach will be.
My tips: 6 from
